The answer is yes when its asked if the international trailers and land freight transports are covered by insurance, but there are significant differences on the insurance side. International land freight transports are covered by CMR insurance. CMR convention defines the carrier liability limit as 8.33 SDR. SDR is Special Drawing Right, and announced by International Monetary Fund. For example SDR rate at the beginning of 2022 is 1.39 USD or 19.25 TL. As the truck coverage is limited to 8.33 SDR per 1 KG, this amount may not fully cover the loss. Therefore additional shipping insurance is adviced to shippers. Shipping invoices are done for each transport, and covers the customer with all risk policy. If needed, we are additionaly providing transport insurance policy service.
